[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Just a few miles from the town of Ubud in the central countryside of Bali is a village called Petulu, and it is renowned for the sight of cattle egrets flocking in each evening to roost in the trees surrounding the village.

They come from miles around, almost from the whole island I believe, from the rice paddies where they tend to spend their days - nobody really knows why they chose this spot, but sure enough, chose it they did!

Quite difficult to capture them from a reasonable distance in evening light with a not-particularly fast telephoto (excuses excuses!) but I quite like this one - showing the squabbling going on to find the best roost!

It was a stunning sight. Hope you like it! Thanks for looking.
