| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I've never seen an iguana so large before (in the serene surroundings of Pura Ulun Danu Bratan Temple). My best guess is that this is a green iguana that can be found in many different shade ranging from bright green, to a dull, grayish-green. Other distinguished features include long fingers and claws, rough skin and pointy scales along its back.
Iguanas are diurnal (awake during the day). They are also cold-blooded (do not produce body heat) and thus likes lying on warm places to soak up the sun's heat to stay warm.
They are currently much conservation efforts on-going to protect green iguanas from over-hunting and the pet-trade.
Full-grown green iguanas can be between four and seven feet. |

Wow... it looks HUGE! Thanks for sharing joanne.
Cool! Nice and sharp, you could count the scales on his back! Haha! I just can picture sunglasses on his face, he looks so relaxed! Great work! Thanks!

Joanne, what a frightening shot. Our friend above looks like jurassic creature.
As for the picture, great sharpness, great POV and great DOF. One last remark: I have the feeling the iguana is working out, because of the position of his arms on the bench.
Congratulations.
