[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is part of a range of limestone mountains running several hundred kilometres near the coast in South Western Sulawesi. Between 100 and 300 metres high these almost vertical hills make travel through to the interior a challenge.

Hi Murray,

I found the colors a bit hazzy, so I workshopped it a little bit. I do like the scenery.

Thanks,
Niek

Hi Murray,
A nice scene.Actually, very similar to the view from my house here at Punakaiki.I'm at the mouth of a river in a limestone gorge.
I think a little colour saturation and slight darkening would enhance the photo a bit.
Nieks workshop is very good and not too hard to do.
You could also try lowering your EV (exposure value) a little when shooting upwards or in bright hazy conditions.
Sometimes, letting your camera focus on several differents spots one after the other,it will make different compensations each time depending on the brightness of whatever it has locked onto, and you will hit on a light level that looks right through the viewfinder.
Thats always worth a try too.
I just experiment with lots of different things.
I actually know very little about my camera, and just use the most basic (P) autofocus function.
I just fluke it half the time ;)
(by the way...I'm a limestone lover.I've been caving for about 30 years or more)

Hi Murray,
what a Interesting shot, might be better if you could enhance the contrast a bit, the hills look familiar for me, is it lying on the roadside somewhere in Maros area, about 30 kms from Makassar?
