INSECTS OF SULAWESI
This and further postings should be understood as a contribution to increase the knowledge on insects of Sulawesi.

Except for some butterfly families and dragonflies, identification of Sulawesi insects is difficult due to lacking literature. Therefore, I cannot give a species name for the grasshopper shown on this picture and this will also be the case for further posted species.


Location
Porabua - a small village in the vast mountaineous and rain forest covered region north of the line Kolaka - Kendari (Indonesia, Southeast-Sulawesi).

Wonderful close-up, which is executed with fine green key. Sharpness, details and DOF are great. All attractive features of the cuter insect and impressive leaves are reflected perfectly. BG is looked excellently too and stand out off main subject very well. My best wishes and TFS.

Lieber Peter,
Sehe, dass Du zurück bist und uns die ersten Bilder Deiner Ernte zeigst. Dieses Grasshopperbild gefällt mir ausserordentlich gut, Grün auf Grün, mit so schönen Nuancen und eine sehr gefällige Präsentation. Der Sulawesi Hopper scheint das Blatt zu halten, wie sein Eigentum!
