Kiss of Death!
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This juvenile Robberfly actually sipping its prey. This process begins with the robberfly injecting a fluid into its prey that liquefies the internal parts of the insect so it is easily sucked out. As mentioned on my previous RF series, this predator is very selective for its target. That is why this RF also gets a juvenile prey for its food.
Camera Set-up:
Canon EF100-400mm coupled with 500D close up lens, manual mode, auto focusing, mirror lock-up with remote switch, auto white balance, tripod mounted, flash 580EX(-1/2)with omnibounce diffuser and tilted about 45 degrees. |
