| This is a kalong or Pteropus vampyrus , people call them many ways from flying-dogs/foxes to giant/mega-bats or simply as vampires. They are very large, half meter head to toes with wingspans of over one and a half meter length in many cases!!! Imagine a colony of these nesting and flying around your house! ... This image, of course, is upside down! |

Super shot of this impressive animal. Great colours and sharpness!

I see its a boy!! :)
And looks like you went on an adventure in August.
Great portrait and posting it upside down is OK, we get to "see" the bat without having to stand on our heads.
Good composition and details.

Hola Radu. Bella foto, muy nitida. Tal parece que salio en alguna pelicula de terror. Muchas personas les temen, y sin embargo son totalmente inofensivos y muy utiles en el control de insectos.
Luis52.
Hi Radu
He looks like a leader. :) I love its expression. All details are in their special place. Bravo and TFS dear friend. Wİth my best wishes.
Greetings.

Radu, you keep posting your bat images upside down : P
It really disorients me... Hahaha...
Great capture. It is so hard to capture clear features in bat faces in good light. You did an exceptional job here. My gosh, this thing is gigantic.
I can totally see it as a "flying dog"... Scary : 0
TFS anyway. *grin*
