[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [French]
Shoot in Bali birds zoo, but this one was so well hidden under trees that I discovered it by his song... (not so nice). We have stayed together for 10 mn, without moving.

Birds of paradise are native from North of Australia, Indonesia, Malaisia et Papua. Hunted for two centuries for his plumes, it is now protected by law.

A warm welcome to TN, Marie Ange.
What a magnificent bird! I have never seen one like that, and I believe this might be a first on TN. Congratulations!
Sharp details, good pose, beautiful colors, good use of the flash.
Thank you for sharing. : )

Hello Marie,

First I'd like to wish you a warm welcome to TN! I hope you will like this place and learn many new things about nature and photography.

This is a very good capture of a very beautiful and rare bird. I think it is the firs Bird of Paradise I've seen on TN. Your composition is as good as it can get with so many branches and plants around and the colors are brilliant and rich. I also like the details in the plumage, especially the feathers in the tail. It was a great ideea to use the flash in this dark environment. I'm glad the bird also cooperated during this photo session so you can show us this rare beauty. A short note about this species would be very useful as many members would like to know more about it.
Congratulations for this great shot and I'm looking forward to seeing more beautiful pictures from you. Thanks!

Best Regards,
Eddie

Hi Marie,
Welcome to TrekNature.
Greatly capturing this bird of paradise. Tail feathers are amazingly beautiful.
Low light condition under plant canopy was well managed.
Sharp and nice details.
Excellent shot.
