Blossom of the shrub Camelia japonica lying on the forest floor. Often full blossoms lie on the ground besides the shrubs. Camelia japonica is very common type of flower in the hills around Sendai. It is one of the few trees that blossoms in wintertime.
The photo I took at 70 mmm using manual focus.
