This butterfly's color is different by the male and the female.
Male has orange wings and female has wings with black and white belt ahead.
They lived in the south of Japan originally and did not exist in Tokyo.
However, They came to live in around 1980's.
Distribution has been expanded further because of recent Global warming.
Japanese name is "Tsuma-guro-hyoumon".
It means "Leopard print with black edge". |
