Grey Heron

This bird was in the lawn around the pond when going to the garden near the house. I saw at half a year. It was repeated to begin to walk slowly by the long foot after it halted for a while and was looking at the distance. It was as calm as the hermit of seeming no search for food especially. It moved up and down slowly using long wings though I saw the moment this bird flew. I want to take photos the flying moment in not further days. By the way, this bird is called a "Aosagi" in Japan.
I took this photograph on an afternoon after the rain.

Hi Mikio,
nicely captured heron. I like the full face with fascinating colours. You have given a good emphasis on the eyes, feathers and texture of the bird.
Well done in excellent execution.
regards,
