Nice photo of this flower.It is so dainty it is hard to imagine it is poisonous.I like the composition , the lighting of the foreground and the dark BG.Excellent colours and DOF.TFS

Hi Elena,

I like your picture very much. Did you take it in the wild or in a garden? The highly toxic plant is known botanically as Lycoris radiata. It belongs to the Amaryllidaceae family. The species is native to Japan, China and Korea. In China, Lycoris is commonly known as "Surprise Lily", perhaps the leafless stalks often surprise their viewers.
