| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This Praying Mantis was a regular visitor in the bathroom of my guesthouse. It would sit near the light waiting for other insects.
Random Facts:
• The praying mantis can turn its head 180° to look over its shoulder for predators.
• The females are among the largest of insect species.
• The female will lay up to 300 eggs at a time and sometimes eats the male after mating.
• There is a form of martial arts called praying mantis kung-fu. |
