[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I regularly visit this spider, almost everyday, while "hunting" other animals especially insects for TL. It's like saying hello to her and ask if she has something for lunch. And believe me, she never starves; every day she has different "dish" on her "menu" but mostly smaller insects. Some she wraps for later feast, some she enjoys immediately. Here she is enjoying a just entrapped green fly.

Here is what I learned about her:

Name: Argiope aurantia.
Colour: Black, yellow & white
Size: About an inch, excluding the legs.
Features: Zigzag in the web;
defense - if feels threatened she will rock herself to vibrate the web. They bite (not a serious bite), but more likely fall out of the web and run away.

Hello Agoes,
Welcome to TN!
You make an excellent start with a macro of a species of Argiope spider taken from a fine side POV with superb sharpness and details as it is feeding on some insect.
Your focusing is spot to make max. use of the low aperture and the composition on its web is pleasing.
Thanks for sharing this,
Regards, Ivan

Wow, welcome to TN and what a stunning superb shot! I am amazed at the pov, what a good idea to have captured it from the same level. The web gives perspective and the spider is seen with its head lowered: ouf, what a sight! Great notes too,

Francine

Assalamualaikum Agoes,

Selamat dadang ke TN. Tak ramai local atau Brunei kat sini. Saya dah jemput Tabib dan dia ada kat sini sekali. Lebih mencabar dan perlu lebih berhati-hati.

This is wonderful entry to TN. Great capture parallel to the web. Excellent sharpness and details. You are doing fine my friend. Keep shooting and sharing.

Regards,
Jusni
