[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Todays post is from rain forest area called Baco, located on island Borneo. This green snake was resting on the tree without any movement. It was really nice experience to see this guy in the wild :) I made few shots and leaved this guy alone.

I was 6m from this snake with my big 400mm lens on tripod. I made crop from original file for better composition and focus on the head...

**Thanks Ivan for ID**

Hej Ralf,
A great capture of a Wagler's Pit Viper. (it took a while to ID it.
It is the only species of poisonous snake in Bako. The venom is haemotoxic. Good job you were six meters away!Superb colours and sharpness of the head.
TFS/Hälsningar,
Ivan

Hi Ralf,

Good thing you didn't get any closer! The head is marvelous. I never saw a snake with such lovely colors. This is the first time I have seen a Wagler's Pit Viper. Thanks for the introduction.

Hello Ralf,
Great portrait of this splendid species, with wonderful exposure and focus giving us a crisp and clear image to view, thank you Ralf.
Rick

Hi Ralf
I missed this.
Great to see this species which I guess is new to TN.
Good choice of of DOf to focus on the head, leaving the rest of the snake blending into the background. Great sharpness.

Chris
