Hi Jusni
Excellent and sharp close-up of this dragonfly
Well done
Albert

Sort of a soft focus, but still a remarkable capture of wing action. I've never seen a red dragonfly, and you've composed this shot so well! Framing/borders excellent! Penny

Hello Jusni,
Nice capture of a male N. fluctuans, A species I have seen in Singapore.
I like your composition and POV and I agree it is a little OOF. I tried the W/S as you suggested.
Thanks for sharing this one and for your kind words on my images.
Best wishes, Ivan

Hi Jusni,

Asia has the most beautiful birds and insects! I have never seen one like this before. The color is wonderful. The details of the intricate looking wings are very good. They almost look like lace work.

Jane

Interesante toma por el color y el encuadre, aunque algo deficiente en enfoque y profundidad. Lástima !

Saludos Jusni !

I liked both yours and Ivan's versions of this colorful d.fly Jusni, those huge eyes and powerful wings dominate a good composition. TFS my friend.

Very fine captured of this beautiful dfly!
good pose with clarity, beautiful colouration and details
well done
Tony

Hi Jusni, this is a very well presented dragonfly. The dragonfly itself is in good clear detail with excellent colour. I like how you have it positioned in this square frame, on the diagonal stalk. You've very nicely filled the frame while giving the impression of room for the dragonfly to move. Presentation in your custom frame is very good. Something to watch out for (in case you ever want to change the title) is inclusion of the title on the frame. It looks fine; I only mention that as I wanted to change a title on one of my earlier shots, and had it printed on the frame, so was locked in. I think Ivan's workshop was a decent approach to improvement in the area of sharpening on this guy.

Thanks, John

Hi Jusni,
This dragonfly has fantastic color. The vein on wings are clearly captured. Nice pov and composition.

Hello Jusni,

A very attractive image, I like it, but it's not quite as sharp as it could be, but getting a super-sharp image while hand-holding that lens at the full 300mm focal length at 1/125 is difficult, I know, as I have that lens too. When I shoot insects with it, I've found that shooting at ISO 400 in shutter priority and using 1/400 helps a lot. Also, I shoot RAW (NEF) files and I find that I get the most sharpness that way. I also use a tripod or monopod whenever possible.

Thanks,
John
