The Chestnut Headed Bee Eaters are back in town. I travelled north to Penang to test out my new toys - 5D Mk2 and the EF 800mm.

I would like to think the photo does justice to the kit used!

By this time of the year the birds have already started to pair off. They are not too shy and to get nearer, this shot was taken with the lens resting on a bean bag on the car door.

Wonderful image for this lovely and brilliantly colored bee eater, I too shot this bird few years back but no match for this one. You have made good use of the equipment, I shall say than that they are fine gear. tfs.

This is a great shot. I liked the fact that you used an f/8 setting and an ISO of 200. That gave you a very clear and focused shot. I also liked the bean bag idea.
