These sea organisms were shot during my trip to a local aquarium in Penang.
The Penang Aquarium, officially the Fisheries Department Research Institute Aquarium, is a medium-size aquarium located within the Fisheries Research Institute complex in Batu Maung, on the southeast tip of Penang Island.

The aquarium has 25 tanks to showcase various types of marine life, especially those found in the regional waters. Among them are the lion fish, the boxfishes, moray eels, tangs, surgeon fish, cat sharks, stone fish, angel fish, blue spotted stingray, fox face fish, parrot fish, squirrel fish, damsels, bivalves and more. The largest tank measures 15 ft by 10 ft and houses the big fishes such as the snappers, the tudung periuk and the nyior nyior.

Fisheries Department Research Institute Aquarium
The Penang aquarium is a must place to visit for people who are interested in fishes. Visitors get to see and experience the underwater world as they walk around looking at each tank. The aquarium is also a fun place for children as the aquarium is designed to educate children through interactive exhibitions.

Ciao Foozi, my today neighbour, fascinating sea plants with wonderful colors, fine details and great sharpness, very well done, bellissima, ciao Silvio

Hi neighbor of today... :)

Absolutely love the backlighting here and its effect. I used to be quite heavily into aquariums myself and had several. Never had much success with salt water aquariums though. Most of mine were fresh water aquariums with very rich and dense water plants (more like European aquariums)... the fish were more an added feature and helped provide the necessary CO2 and detrius (organic matter) for the plant growth... ;) I even taught a high school class my own course called "Educational Aquaria".

TFS foozi...

Larry

Hello Foozi, interesting capture. Very colorful. Good lighting. I liked your idea of low shutter here to capture the motion. I can see a portion of plant in motion on the bottom left.

Things I would've liked to see - A bit more low POV and further low shutter speed to capture the motion of this marine plant further more. Not sure if you carried a tripod though?

Salam Foozi,
Fantastic colors...interesting capture.
Fine details and great sharpness,
Thanks for sharing,
Seyfi.

Hi MF Foozi, a splendid capture of this sea organism. But i think this one is not a plant. Its look like a lophophorat invertabrate animal colony. I have limited time to search this at least now. But i will return you again.
All the best!
Cheers,
Bayram

Hi Foozi,
Its amazing how similar some of these sea plants are to some fungi.
People often say my fungi look like sea plants,I guess thats why they call some 'coral' fungi.
A great shot of this unusual one.
Cheers
Steve

Hi Foozi.
You managed to create an amazing art picture with these beautiful sea plants. Colours and lighting are unusual and sweet. Composition is great and details of the plant as well as the blurriness of the blue BG are perfect. Very pleasant for look and technically excellently taken picture. Well done and TS.
Alexei.
