So the TrekNature identifying mechanism (call upon any buddy who might know) functioned like clockwork, once again. I am chuffed that you received help so quick and now we can maybe see some interesting information on this beautiful species. Dandre's arm created a nice neutral BG to show-off and highlight the amazing colours of this butterfly. However, that is just so unfair (sulk). Yesterday I visited the Thulasihleka Bird Sanctuary (I haven't been there for quite a while) and once again I had to "break a leg" chasing after those darn un-cooperating butterflies (chuckle).

I love the stunning colour reproduction on the insect and the good details on this shot showing the intricate network of veins in the wings and those striking mottled eyes.

PS. Are you guys ok after the terrible fires that raged in your area recently? I've been meaning to e-mail you, but I never got around to it yet. I also slipped up on your birthday last month and hope you will accept this late congratulation. Beautiful picture of Malay leaf butterfly. It seems it is not at all afraid of humans to land on your husband's arm.:) I better don't show it to my kids as my youngest always complains why those butterflies flying around her never sits on her outstretched hands. :)

Beautiful colors, beautiful b-fly Manyee.
I like the arm & b-flies opposed diagonal composition. ;}
I posted a Morpho on Mary's shoulder at a B-fly house, skin makes a great BG :)

Dandre makes a nice prop for showing off this beautiful, colorful butterfly. It is a wonderfully sharp image. The rest of the world sure does have more interesting butterflies than we.
