Hello friends in TN.

I have captured a few shots of this insect and always fascinated by the red tip at the end of the legs. I would be grateful if someone here can help with the ID. This is a small insect always hanging on tall grass stems around my house. Thanks for viewing.

Haraprasan ID this as Stink Bug.

EDIT: Stink bugs are named for their ability to exude a foul smelling substance from a pore on each side of their thorax. These bugs often have symbiotic relationships with bacteria that aid the insect in the production of nutrients. Other insects, like termite, have similar relationships that aid in their digestion of wood. Stink bugs are predacious on other insects, good fliers and are recognized by a large triangular scutellum on their back. Fom BugBios

Regards.

Hello Jusni,

Very nice composition. Good POV, DOF and sharpness. Amazing bug with its red toes. That is a kind of scentless plant bug, I think.
Cheers,
Mariki

Hi Jusni

In South Africa we have an identical looking insect by the name of Acacia bug - Mirperus jaculus. I cannot vouch that this is the same species in your part of the worl, but as I say it is really identical.

I like the composition with the insect and the blade of grass at an oblique angle. The BG is excellent due to the narrow DOF and maybe this has impacted a little bit on some of the detail on the insect. The colours are very well saturated giving the posting a happy (sort of spring-time) feeling.

Well done and TFS.
Regards
Loot

Hello Jusni,
I notice you have many nice creatures in your neighbourhood!
The simplicity of the composition is appealing and the strong diagonal is an eye-catcher...
Good focus and fine details, the colours are rich and natural!

Hi Jusni,

An excellent shot of this interesting-looking insect. I'm not so sure about that being a Stink Bug, looks more like some sort of Leaf-footed bug instead, but I'm not sure.

Thanks,
John
