Hello Kean,
A fine capture of this cave-dwelling spider. The use of flash has given the right lighting and helped to produce a sharp image with good colours. I guess its prey must be the insects that feed on the bat droppings. It must be at least 5 cm across the span of the legs.
TFS this fine and interesting image,
Regards,
Ivan

Hi Kean, very nice shot of this Huntman Spider. Shooting in the dark like this you have captured a very good shot of this guy under less than ideal conditions. Lighting from your flash is very good with good exposure across the spider, and very excellent control your focus. I'm surprised you went for a shallow depth of field with high speed, but it has worked out well for a very good shot.
Thanks, John

Hi Kean,
Your photo is very good especialy considering you took it in a cave and had to do the settings in low or no light. Good focus for such conditions and very good use of flash rendering natural colors.
Thank you for sharing,
Cristian

Hello Kean,
You are so lucky to visit the caves in Sarawak.
I have been exploring caves in New Zealand for over 30 years and have heard about the caves over there.
I hope you didn't get 'Mulu foot' there (peoples feet and legs turn black and fall off!)
Nice spider by the way ;)
Cheers,
Steve

Hi Kean,
Splendid shot of this great looking spider with looooong legs. Very neat and sharp image with nice colours and details. The BG looks great and highlights the spider well. Good use of flash lighting. Excellent POV and composition. Kudos.
TFS.

Pretty good picture, Kean, from top perspective though I would have preferred a frontal approach to show the spider's eyes.
TFS and all the best.
