Hello friends in TN,

The water spinach growing wild by the roadside with the beautiful flowers attracted me to take this shot.

Ipomoea aquatica is a semi-aquatic tropical plant grown as a leaf vegetable. Its precise natural distribution is unknown due to extensive cultivation, with the species found throughout the tropical and subtropical regions of the world.

Common names include water spinach, swamp cabbage, water convolvulus, water morning-glory, kangkung (Indonesian, Malay), kangkong (Tagalog), eng chai (Hokkian), tangkong (Cebuano), kang kung (Sinhalese), trawkoon ( Khmer: ត្រកូន), pak boong (in Thai: ผักบุ้ง) (Thai), rau muống (Vietnamese), kongxincai (Chinese: 空心菜; pinyin: kōngxīncài; literally "hollow heart vegetable"), home sum choy ( Hakka), and ong choy or tung choi (Cantonese pronunciation of 蕹菜, ngônkcôi; pinyin: wéngcài).

Ipomoea aquatica grows in water or on moist soil. Its stems are 2-3 m or more long, hollow, allowing them to float, and these root at the nodes. The leaves vary from sagittate (typical) to lanceolate, 5-15 cm long and 2-8 cm broad. The flowers are trumpet-shaped, 3-5 cm diameter, usually white in colour.

Cioa Jusni,

Hallo Jusni
This is such a welcoming scene. The colours, mood, composition, lightning, everything is just so right. The display of colours of the elements of nature in this image is really wonderful. The blue sky, white clouds, different shades of green of the grass, the palms in the distance, the water in between the greenery, the beautiful flowers on the foreground. Everything just shouts out. Spring, Spring, Spring. – Anyway that is how I see it, a lovely inviting and very peaceful scenery, and I am glad you shared it with us. I just love the very light area you have captured in the middle of the scenery. It is really a beautiful landscape.
Kind regards
Anna

Hello Jusni,

Good to see someone is continuing the landscape tradition!
And the colours are wonderful........

Greetings,

Hi Jusni,
This is a breathtaking image!
It's so enjoyable the colour saturation used, the contrasts and combination of different elements here.
It must be rainy season there, everything is so green and appealing.
Congratulations and thanks for share.
My best regards,
JM

您是否也讲中文?

It most certainly shows off the rich colours via a D50..I at once thought there might be a polarizing filter in it which I carry often but the density is wide and even over the entire photo! No matter what the scenery it is also a fine quality image..

Hi Jusni,

This landscape is absolutely picture perfect. The colors are so natural and beautiful with all the shades of green, and the blue sky with the wonderful white fluffy clouds. The composition is superb. I love the flowers in the foreground, what seems to be a small brook, the grass and the trees beyond. There is a feeling of depth as the eye follows the meadow leading to the clouds. I hope you share many more scenes like this with us.

Hi Jusni.
Amazing place and great shot of it. I like the point of view, wonderful composition of the image, superb wide DOF and excellent details of the entire scene. Colours are vibrant (may be a bit over saturated on my monitor) and nice. Pictured moments is selected brilliantly (I mean fine cloudy sky and strong sunlight). Bravo and TFS.

hello Jusni,
Watch for it-my first posting coming soon in TN. Thanks for your encouragement! I am also on the lookout for plant and butterfly ID books. Here one has to identify the species with botanical names. Its great, as is this photo. The colours and textures are superb.
As I have said before, I wonder what you put in your coffee each morming-as these wonderful images on all 3 sites just keep rolling out.
TFS, Joni

Hello Jusni,

What a richly saturated, powerful image this is. The strong light in the distance along with the lead lines really draw one into the scene. I like the strong values. I'm curious about the darkness above the central cloud. It is a super landscape composition.

Salam Jusni
A scene that gives me deja vu..you have here one that reminds me so much of my state especially its Northern belt where life is still original and forests are virgin...I can only imagine the serene and tranquile atmosphere you would have soaked up while standing there with your camerain hand.I can almost hear a song echoing from the other side of the rising hills and field getting busy with working peasants... the water spinach flowers got a bit drowned in the larger picture you shared but they are indeed part of the scene.Very nice composition with a fine PoV, you had superb lighting to assit you and you produce a work with a fine set of elements.
TFS and accept my wishes for a peaceful and healthy 2009
