| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
The Common Lime or the Lemon Butterfly (Papilio demoleus) is a common and widespread Swallowtail butterfly. It gets its name from its host plants which are usually citrus species such as the lime. Unlike most swallowtail butterflies it does not have a prominent tail.
It is perhaps the most widely distributed swallowtail in the world with a distribution that range from the Middle East to Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Indochina, Thailand and Peninsular Malaysia, Southeast Asia, New Guinea and Australia. Strangely it was formerly absent from Borneo but it is now one of the commonest Papilionids in Sabah and Sarawak in Malaysian Borneo, Kalimantan (Indonesian Borneo) and in Brunei. |

Good detail and colors on the wings Joe, it is also the common butterfly here in the Philippines for the record. Thanks for your info on my pix.
