[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Okay, I finally got this one:

Species:
========
Agama Atricollis, or known as the 'tree agama'

Description:
============
African members of this family are large, spiny diurnal lizards with big, well-defined heads; dominant males are frequently partly brilliant blue in breeding coloration. They also have enlarged teeth near the apex of the jaw and can inflict a painful bite.

Their Asian counterparts are smaller in size, and of brown colours.

Vital Statistics:
=================
6 - 15 cm (Asian)
20- 30 cm (African)

Habitat:
========
Agamas stay in a variety of habitats including open savannah usually associated with tree trunks. Most agamas were found on the forest edge, on buildings or in trees below 1600 m. elevation.

And finally... a note on the photograph:

It was a really hot Sunday afternoon and I was trying to find out whether 'little guy' is still at his usuall hiding place or not. To my surprise it is even more active than in the morning or evenings. At first it was hanging on as usual on his favourite plant, but as soon as I got near he quickly made a jump down to the rocks below the plant and stare at me from there. Thank goodness for the bright sunlight which gives me a nice sharp shot without the use of a tripod.

I like this picture and I hope you like it too.

Cheers

A very nice capture.
Excellent composition and lovely detail.
Interesting note too.
Very well done.

Yah Wen, This one has an "eye" for detail!;-) Did well as stated with the degree of difficulty the rock posed. Excellent informative notes, Well done!

Very nice work Yah Wen, I appreciate the effort that you made to ID this one and write a note. Great picture too, you did well with the difficult white rock and dark lizard. Nice sharp focus on the eye and it seems you got the whole tail in. Excellent. Alas...I'm out of points, I will add them tomorrow.
