i took this pic on sapi island in borneo in the state of sabah i was on the island to soak up the sun and do a bit of diving and i looked up the beach to find this storking me !!!

It's a monitor lizard (genus varanus), but do you know which species? Could be a salvator. They are very good swimmers.

Anyway, it's a good picture, nicely froze the tongue. Nice compositon and good detail especially as it was moving.

Very clear image, good quick thinking. The shiny mud and extended tounge add animation to the scene

These are fascinating creatures. Well captured here. Nice detail. The exposure on the back a bit bright. I did a WS. Please tell me what you think.
