Stork-Billed Kingfisher
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Not the best of shots but this is my first capture of a Stork-Billed Kingfisher. Almost twice as large as the White-Throated Kingfisher that I posted quite regularly. Had to reluctantly dig into my bag for the 2X converter to bring this in closer. A bit of cropping still.
The power line feeds power to the inland commercial fish farms. You can tell she is eyeballing something fishy below. |

Hi
What a beak!
Good light...

Hello You Two!
This is an interesting POV with awkward lighting. Even so, you taken a sharp and well-composed shaot of this impressive kingfisher.

Excellent shot Suleesia, great lighting, details and sharpness, nice bg and contrast. Great colours and composition too. Very well done, thanks for sharing.

THough it may not be one of the best shots (your words) I think it's really nice. The composition shows really well the size of the bill and colours are good. Also sharpness is o.k. if you ask me.
I think it's great, Jacob

Hi Su,
an excellent shot of this SBK. Well composed with lovely soft blue sky and sharp details. The eye is excellent with the light on it giving a lovely shine.
Nice composition and beautifull presented.
