Previously Colias erate has been shown on TN from Austria, thank you Peter Stoeckl, and Japan, by myself.

For the afficionados of the Pieridae, here is a male Eastern Pale Clouded Yellow from the Himalayan foothills. Here the local subspecies is called C. e. lativitta Moore, 1882, and exists just in North India and Nepal.

This is a great macro!
I like a lot the lighting, sharp and clear details got on the insect.
It's so good the texture seen on the wings, as well as the stunning green eye and the upwards pose.
