[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Most of the trekking Nepal is called "Tea-House Trekking" as the day's hike is between guesthouse-filled towns. While this doesn't make the treks that much easier, it means there is no need for tents, food, water, or beer-- all those things, plus luxuries such as apple-pie, can be purchased along the way. Remote trekking is also possible, but unless you are an experienced wilderness trekker, it is recommended to hire a guide and porters. See also "Stay Safe" for information about Maoists rebels in remote areas.
Mt. Everest Base Camp Trek: Stunning scenery, Wonderful people. See 'Regions' - Khumbu
Annapurna Circuit: A 3-4 week trek around the Annapurna mountains.
Jonsom-Muktinath Trek: The last week of the Annapurna Circuit, done in the opposite direction. Known as the "Apple-Pie Trek" partly for crossing the apple growing region of Nepal, and partly for being one of the easier (but far from "easy") treks.
Helambu Langtang Trek: Relatively easy Trek from Kathmandu
Mera Peak Climbing: Enjoy panoramic views of Mt. Everest (8848m), Cho-Oyu (8201m), Lhotse (8516m), Makalu (8463m), Kangchenjunga (8586m), Nuptse (7855m), Chamlang (7319m).
Island Peak Trek: The Island Peak trek in the Everest region takes in some of the most spectacular scenery in the Himalayas.

Excellent composition, strong diagonal!
Wonderful details captured, where the sunlit snow against the deep blue sky make a great colour contrast...
I notice the lake or maybe a dam and reservoir..?

Hello Aivar!
This stunningly beautiful picture of your Everest Base trek 2003 takes me down the memory lane. I trekked to the EBC in 1982, '85 and '94. I have some pretty bad pictures of 1994 taken with a new Yashica SLR I had just picked off the shelf in Kathmandu!
What a difference it makes these days to have such true-to-reality digital pictures!
Wonderful picture with fine colours, contrasts and depth of view on a crisp November morning.
Thanks for making my day with this lovely image of Sagarmatha region I love deeply.

These peaks are simply amazing!!! Their slope is impressive and from this point of view it's all so well visible.
The natural colors are very beautiful and the details are clear and sharp. Very nicely framed and composed, too.

What a spectacular mountain scenery and what a space. The galcier lake really adds to the drama of the photo. The shaded areas are well exposed, but the snow covered tops are OE. I am also missing some FG interest for dept and scale.

What an stunning view. The glacial lake is very clear and the glacier itself seeming to be holding the water in. The clarity of the picture is stunning.

As Niek commented the snow is a touch overexposed, but it does not detract from that amazing view.
