| Snails in Nepal can be as big as my fist. This one is a beginner. He/she is munching away near me, while I eat my lunch also. Sadly, as Nepalis and Indians start spraying endless insect poison, almost all the interesting creatures are disappearing. I no longer share rooms with geckos and huge spiders. Egrets and hawks no longer fill the sky everywhere, I see fewer, and fewer. No more hordes of dragonflies around me, and clouds of butterflies. I rarely even saw these snails in the monsoon, their favorite season to slide about. |

Hello Gloria,
I was tempted to do a workshop on your picture to crop it more, but no, it's good to have a glimpse of the BG and environment. The flower and the snail are sharp and the shot is well-composed.
Sad to read your info, What can we do about it?

Hi Gloria,
Nice shot! A few more and you will have a plate of escargot. Sounds like they are not doing a vey good job of managing their environment. Too many people there. Nice shot though.
