Ama Dablam (6856 m) is a mother of mountains. That is what her name means. She looks like a woman with hands wide open for embrace with a necklace of blue ice. Ama Dablam stands alone directly south of Everest.

An other perfect mountain shot. I like the distinct colours. She does have an inviting look about her.

Little climbing literature on this mountain, a bit elusive I would say , nevertheless looks bold and steep like most Andean peaks , not Himalayas ...
