Only one question. Is the flower of a Agave plant such as "Maguey"? We have some arround here.

Absolutely stunning! Brilliant. Before I say anything else I am adding this one to my favourites. Right now I can carry on. The beauty of this bird is actually indescribable. I thought kingfishers are beautiful, but this one beat them by far. I have never seen this bird or even know that it existed. The technical aspects of this photo are just as wonderful as the bird itself. I can see no faults. Focus, details, depth of field, framing, composition and all the other I have left out is each worth a smiley. It is been long time since I really a photo like this one. I think you have outdone yourself. Congratulations.

Hi Nadeem,

I have seen Greater flameback woodpecker before, but this variety is new to me, and never perched like this (always at the tree trunk).
This is Superb, with yellow flower and black/grey background, the bird just pop out from my screen.

Hi Nadeem,
spectacular presentation of that very attractive colourful flameback visiting a bunch of blossoms in a very well approached beautiful pose, sharply focussed, well detailed. Well lighted, and distinctively separated from a neutrally grey contrasting background, the colours of both the bird and the blossoms seem to be glowing out of the darkness.
