[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Along the Karakoram Highway, the highest paved international highway in the world, there are many places to explore. This is near the town of Passu, close to the border to China, in the extreme far north of Pakistan. Welcome to Hunza Valley.

These jagged peaks are both unnamed and unclimbed. Most peaks in the Karakoram Mountains are unclimbed mostly because there are so many of them but also that since they look like this, it's a big challenge/risk getting to the summit. Passu is situated at an elevation of 2800m asl and the peaks in the photo reach up to 6000m. Down in the left corner you can spot the Karakoram Highway curving along.

This shot is taken from the roof of a minibus speeding along 70km/h. We were going around a corner so I held on for life to a leatherstrap with one hand, held my camera in the other, turned around and clicked.
As to why the sky is so blue, I did't edit anything.

This very moment is one of my favorite in life, sitting on my backpack on the roof of a minivan going through Hunza Valley.

Thank you for your time.

Johannes,

What a view, eye catching. I have seen a few mountians In my travels, but nothing quite as rugged as these. Well taken.

Johannes, again,

hre too you achieved stunning results with the clouds, the snow, the isolated wild valley. The highway is visible too, it's so interesting. You make me want tovisit there too (on bike). Well done, Johannes.
Best regards
Dietrich
