i saw this moth on the wall of my hotel in batad, banawe. there were a lot but this one caught my eye. its so pretty she looked like a fabulous designer skirt ;)
i do not know what kind of moth this is though, anybody like to share their thoughts ? ;)

Hello Alyssa,
this is a moth from the genus Nyctemera (family Arctiidae).
I will try to identify the exact species name later.
With respect to exposure, a smaller aperture, such as f/8, would have been advantageous
to increase the depth of field. Composition of the picture could be largely improved.
There is only little space above and below the moth, but to the left there is much 'non-interesting'
space showing the non-natural background.
