[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The habitat of the endangered Philippine fruit bat or flying fox (Pteropus vampyrus lanensis has been reduced to three trees located on the grounds of the former Subic Bay Navy Yard. This area is now the Subic Bay Freeport Zone. The bats will not fly during the day unless something disturbs them. These are the largest bats in the world, with wingspans of about five feet. The bats have moved their roost in the last six months. It is no longer located at Bat Kingdom.

I am suprised by the 2 second exposure, must have been a very calm day. I assume here that the f/stop was 7.0, not 0.7. Interesting scene, but unfortunate you did not have a larger lens to get a bit closer and single out one or two of the bats for greater detail.

Hello Christopher,
a very clear and detailed presentation of the bats against the bright blue sky. You selected an appropriate display window. Colours appear very natural. Funny title and interesting note.

Lovely shot, there seems to be a bit of noise but the subject is great and I like the composition as it shows how they spend their day. Nice colours and details
