| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
All the other birds that take their nap in this mangrove have already left except for one. This guy must be the lazy one.
This was a tough image to take as it was hard to get the right exposure for the white bird on a dark mangrove. I was trying to meter on the bird with compensation to -1 stop. It was not enough to get enough details from the feathers. I had to adjust S/H in PP. |

Hi Rommel,
Considering the difficulties in exposure, I think you nailed it perfectly. The bird is perfectly exposed and the rest of the photo is good as well. Great color in the leafs and roots. Just a excellent photo with a very good composition.
TFS,
Niek
This image proves it is possible to do a good birdy shot and maintain full attention to compositional issues..! Very well done if you ask me...
Habitat is the key word, as it often is important to see the preferred surroundings...
Well done, Rommel!

Very effective composition, Rommel.
Those mangrove trees are huge. The beautiful egret gives a wonderful focal point and a reference for size. An excellent image. TFS. : )
