| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This bird was quite easy to capture since it was flying around in one small area and hopping from tree to tree. I spotted it at the foot of Mt. Banahaw at Mamala (Sariaya),Philippines during my holiday there. The branch it was sitting in was swaying from left to right. So I had to make sure the shutter speed would be fast enough to freeze the bird.
At this moment I do not know the name but I would gladly find out about this.
In the mean time I presume this could be the right bird info:
Scientific Name: Megalurus palustris
Habitat: Grasslands, ricefields and open country
Birdwatch note: Noisy and conspicuous, often sitting and calling exposed on tops of grasses, bushes and telephone wires. Note streaked crown and streaked upper breast.

I know this photo is far from perfect. But I just like to show this species in its environment. Here in this photo you can also see all the weaknesses of the lens tnat I used. Like some CA and discoloring. |
