[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
During my 2006 summer vacation with my family, we went to HK Ocean Park. We saw a lot of beautiful and amazing animals they own. And when we went to a lake we saw this swan swimming alone. I haven't seen a real swan this beautiful before in my entire life so what I did was to take the camera out of my bag and took a picture of it eventhough it was raining. And I was so happy that I had a chance to see one.

Cropped and sharpened using Adobe Photoshop.

Nice work.

Hi Irene,

This should again have been a great composition, a minimalistic yet effective one, if You don't overexpose the whole photo. I of course read Your note and should like to ask if You have Adobe Photoshop, why don't You use it? Because the image suffers not only from OE, but from grain and the lack of sharpness, too. An advice: try to re-size Your files to just under 300 KB to reach acceptable sharpness. And don't be afraid of using the filters, effects and tools of PS, for example gaussian blur is very nicely removes grain if You use it in optimal dose (in the WS I used 1,1 pixels radius). You can mark the area You'd like to change with magnetic lasso for example.

So, this isn't an outstanding image, although it should have been. I'm more than sure You'll have better ones.

I'm sorry, but tfs. Best regards, László
