The Java Sparrow or Java Finch (Padda oryzivora) is a very beautiful bird, considered as pests as they are voracious grain eaters. It is a popular cagebird, and has been introduced in a large number of other countries. And due to the cage bird trade, it is now uncommon in its native range in Java (how about that?!).


But there is a flock in my hometown, they frequent this particular tree at the back of my house during the early morning and roost in a particular ebony tree in the evening.
