Chloropsis palawensis.
Philippine Endemic found only in the Island of Palawan. Leafbirds are a small group of arboreal passerines found throughout tropical Asia. All are in the same genus Chloropsis so they are all closely related.Leafbirds have spiked tongues adapted for taking nectar (like the Rhabdornis of the Philippines) and often poke into tubular flowers but, unlike Rhabdornis, they build cup-shaped nests.

What a colorful bird -- Blends in quite well with the leaves, which makes me wonder if that's why it's named that! Excellent detail! Penny
Hi Luis,
Certainly the best that I have seen of this not much photographed bird.
BTW, are you someone I should know (perhaps with another moniker)?

Hermoso animal.
Que combinación de colores tan espectacular.
El POV fue muy bueno.
Me tome el atrevimiento de hacer un Workshop, los cambios son muy leves, pero en mi concepto favorecen la imagen.
Que opinas?
Hasta pronto
