I love these critters...perhaps because they remind me of marmots, prairie dogs, and even ground squirrels. They are playful, family oriented, and just a joy to watch.

You've really nailed the texture of the fur, fine facial details, and the alert pose as they maintain watch for predators. I also love how the paw, while in front of the stomach, can be seen.

I'd love to shoot one of these up close. Nice natural setting, great dof, and overall composition.

this is a amazing shot of this Meerkat in a typical pose, the colors are splendid as well the Animal as the BG, but what i like the most is the fine details on the fur
