Helo Fatih,
you show a detail-rich picture of the butterfly and the plant. The wing patterns are clearly seen. Nevertheless, it is not easy to find out the species identification. Based on the figures in Tuzov (2000) and Eliot and Kawazoe (1983) the species shown appears not to be sugitanii. However, it resembles Celastrina argiolus in its subspecies ladonides from Sakhalin.

Hi Fatih,
A lovely macro with the DOF and dark background really making the butterfly stand out.....emphasising the clarity and detail.Not so sure about the pose...may have been better the other way up as it is more difficult to appreciate its beauty.A good cut of the extending perch.TFS and a good evening.

I love this picture. Excellent sharpness and composition!
I should have said also it is Celastrina sugitanii, cause I have seen some pictures with butterflies like this one so called. But Peter is far better documented, and I've seen also other pictures with butterflies quite different and they are called as C.Sugitanii in a page of Asian butterflies.
