Not the best shot but I wanted to share my find. This fly has the coolest psydhedelic eyes. I chanced upon it on a rotting tree trunk that was covered with wild mushrooms.
I shot this 5mm sized fly with a macro lens n a +10 filter. It wouldn't stay still nor face the lens to allow me a good shot of its eyes.
I shall endeavor to find another and hopefully it will allow me to focus in on its eyes. If anyone knows the species let me know. |
