[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This picture was an attempt to take a bird in flight. There were a lot of birds outside on the opposite building. Pigeons always fascinate me. So locked focus on this bird perched on a roof. Then locked and shifted the focus to cover the area just above it. Clicked as soon as it took off. Wish the wings were a bit more sharp.

Hi Kiran,
Nice timing, good composition. I whished the bird were sharper.
TFS!

It's a very good attempt. Birds are a real challenge to capture.
I think a higher number of f-stop would help with the focus (smaller aperture for deeper DOF).
It's all about the light you can get in the scene.
All the best,
Kelley

Ahaha.. good capture here at a perfect moment. this action shot of turning is really good. sharpness is good and focussed on the right place. Night OOF effect of the wings in motion.

PS: Hope you liked Singapore.

Steph

good action capture. good DOF but i'd sharpen the birds head a bit

Hello kiran,
Good composition and a good attempt. Its really difficult to shoot them in flight, right? Seems you have succeeded99%.TFS,

Hi Kiran.
Very nice first attempt to take in-flight object. Pictured scene, composition of the shot and focus are very good. Exposure tome 1/800 sec is too long as you can see yourself. However light conditions are not good for such type of shooting. I wish you sunny weather for in-flight photography. My best regards and TFS.
Alexei.

Hello Kiran , difficult photo , sharp freezing action , Thanks.

Hi Kiran,
Bird shots in flight are pretty difficult shots in a lot of situations. I think you managed this one OK. The blurring of the wings gives a sense of motion, yet the body is fairly sharp. Just keep practicing and learning all the contols of your camera and how they will affect the exposure. I'll be looking forward to seeing more in-flight shots.

hi Kiran,
c'est une image qui mérite d'exister, le mouvement est bien retranscrit, la netteté assez bonne compte tenu de la difficulté.

bravo

Hello Kiran,
I think Pigeons are quite hard to capture in flight as they are fast and have a quick wing-beat. You've done a good job here and it's a dynamic image as you've captured the bird on the turn.

Even at 1/800 there is significant blur in the wings, but really that is dictated by available light. Good camera work to keep the body and head in focus. A nice capture.
Regards,
Adrian

bonjour kiran
je n'ai jamais tenté de photographier un pigeon en vol mais je suppose que c'est tres delicat!
la netteté sur le corps est bonne avec juste assez de flou sur les ailes pour montrer le mouvement.
