A helpless leaf hopper awaiting its final moment after injecting the venom of Orb Web spider which later liquify its internal organs. Definitely a process of slow and agonizing death for this poor victim.
Camera Set-up:
Canon 20D, Tamron 180mm, Mirror Lock-Up @ f16, 1/25sec, ISO400, Canon flash 580EX with Omnibounce flash diffuser and a handheld slave flash, uncropped and tripod mounted. |

Superb macro work.
Very sharp with all the detail. Nice background.
I think the composition look better with 180o rotation.
