[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A mother and baby Long-tailed Macaque (Macaca fascicularis) taken at MacRitchie Reservoir in the 2,000 ha Central Catchment Nature Reserve, Singapore. This large natural area has over 20km of hiking trails to wander through and experience the rainforest environment of south-east Asia. Unfortunately, on weekends, it seems that everyone in Singapore wanted to be in the forest and photographing wildlife was very frustrating. Fortunately I eventually found a quite area where a troop of macaques were feeding on the ground. This mother was quite protective of her recently born baby and wouldn’t let any of the other curious troop members near enough to touch.

Shoot with an ISO of 200, I know its noisy, but using noise reduction software such as NeatImage didn’t work in this image; so here it is warts and all.

Wooow, this is beautiful pose.Excellent detail (-on what kind distance?),perfect sharpening. I like composition.Good colours and BG.Expression in eyes mummy also baby they are splendid - superb.In thy gallery is many gorgeous photos. Good work with S2!!
