[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
If you look at my gallery, you will see this familiar face. I recently had a surprise comment from PeterZ so i decided to give this Buffy Fish Owl an encore appearance. :)

The scientific name for the Buffy Fish Owl is Bubo ketupu.

a resident of woods and forests is the Buffy Fish-Owl, so called because it lives on fish and other aquatic life and haunts streams and the reservoirs, looking for its prey. The Buffy Fish is larger than the Brown Hawk but smaller than the Spotted Wood and the first part of its name aptly describes its buffy appearance on its undersides, with fine streaks; its upper parts are covered with dark bars.

Look a Buffy in the eye and you'll be sure to see a whitish spot where its eyebrows meet—a very distinctive feature. The Buffy Fish-Owl is also distinguished by its brilliant yellowish eyes and prominent ear-tufts, usually tilted at 45 degrees.

Hi Stephanie,
I see Green, I see Orange but where is the Pink?
A bit a shallow depth of field otherwise a good image.

Impressive portrait, Stephanie.
I see the spot in the eye you mention in your note.
Superb focus and sharp details.
The eyes in particular are well captured.

hi Stéphanie,
ça faisait un moment d'absence, bon retour avec ce post coloré. J'aime beaucoup le plumage, et ces yeux grand ouverts.

Hi Stephanie.
Very nice portrait and amazing eyes and glance of this beautiful owl. Colours of your picture (both of owl and BG) are great: rich, well saturated and well balanced. Cropping of the shot and pose of the bird are excellent too: really portrait. Bravo and best regards.
Alexei.

Hello Stephanie
This is a special capture of the Buffy Fish Owl. This wonderful close up really shows off the colour and detail of his eyes and feathers. He is such a pretty colour. Nicely composed and good notes too.

Hi Staphanie,
This is an incredible capture!
I like so much all the clear and sharp details got, and the yellow colour of the eyes.
Their look is so intense and penetrating.
The contrast against the green background is so good.
Congratulations and thanks for share.
Best regards,
JM

... and again - very nice !
