Scarlet-Backed Flowerpecker
Size: 9 cm
Description:
Male distinguished from other flowerpeckers by red-crowned and back. Female is dull brown with red-vent only.
Voice:
A frequent metallic tick, often in flight.
Habits:
An adaptable and successful member of this family, found in all kinds of wooded habitats except closed forest. It can be seen in gardens, urban parks and open country with scattered trees. It flies restlessly from one treetop to the next, often detected only by its clicking call. The nest in small woven pouch with a side entrance suspended from a branch high inside a tree, typical of the family.

Hello Ang Hwee,
I like both of your photos of this species. But this one I like the most. This pose with eye contact makes it very good. Superb sharpness and details, POV, very beautiful colours and composition, together with a nice OOF BG make this photo a real beauty!
