Plantain Squirrel

tatus: Common

Interesting Facts: The plantain squirrel is the most commonly seen squirrel in Singapore. Brown with a red belly and a black stripe on each side. Moves around with a single chips, each accompanied by a vigorous flourish of the tail.

Size: 15-22cm

Diet: Consists of fruit pulp and seeds, flowers or leafy shoots, supplemented with arthopods.

Activity: Active during day in the middle and lower storey of the forest, usually solitary.

Habitat: Gardens and forest habitats including mangrove.

Threats: Habitat destruction.

I like the colours here and the nice pose of the squirrel. Maybe you should have sharpen it a little bit?
