Scarlet-Backed Flowerpecker
Size: 9 cm

Description:
Male distinguished from other flowerpeckers by red-crowned and back. Female is dull brown with red-vent only.

Voice:
A frequent metallic tick, often in flight.

Habits:
An adaptable and successful member of this family, found in all kinds of wooded habitats except closed forest. It can be seen in gardens, urban parks and open country with scattered trees. It flies restlessly from one treetop to the next, often detected only by its clicking call. The nest in small woven pouch with a side entrance suspended from a branch high inside a tree, typical of the family.

Distribution:
A common resident breeder throughout Singapore.

Hello Ang,
I`d like to see a little bit more focus in it`s head, but the pose, colours and BG are so good. Maybe a diferent F number. What about your Tamron lens; Is it good? I`d like to buy something similar and I saw that lots of your shots you used it. What`s your feeling about? Hugs and TFS.

A great photo filled with a beautiful assortment of colours. A wonderful composition with the exposure done beautifully. The colours in the image are complementing each other nicely. The catch-light caught in the eye gets a definite plus. The details are really super. A good close-up, presented in a lovely manner. Kind regards
