tree climbing crab

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
While wonder around the mangroves in Sungei Buloh Nature Park I was amazed to see a number of crabs climbing up the trees as the tide came. Apparently they were Tree-climbing or Vinegar Crabs (Episesarma spp), according to one of the information boards in the very interesting park. Instead of burrowing in the mud, they climb up above the rising water to avoid predators during high tide.
Sungei Buloh is a quite large wetland on the north west coast of Singapore. It has a really good series of board walks that take the visitor through mangroves, tidal and freshwater wetlands. If your ever in Singapore I highly recommend spending 3-4 hours here.
thansk for looking |

Hi Chris!
Very good POV here, little crab looks like conqueror of this hill. Details and composition are also very nice and I like your new logo :-)

Hello Chris,
Very nice capture, although the image is blurred a bit. Is it because of a long lens? I presume so.
Best greetings,
Michal
