Thanks to Kevin Seo (undoredo), I now know that this is a Slender Skimmer (Orthetrum sabina). It is common through most of Asia, Middle East, northern Africa and northern and eastern Australia.
.............................................
I spent four hours wandering around the Sungei wetland and had a great time time exploring the many trails. This was one of a number of dragonfly species present. Unfortunately I have not been able to identify it, despite searches through Asian dragonfly databases; so if anyone can help I’d really appreciate it. |

Hello Chris,
This sharp and crisp clear dragonfly is also new to me. Composition, pov, exposure are great. Very well done.

Hello Chris,
Always nice to see unfamiliar dragonflies! This one is amazing with its very thin body.
Well used opportunity and a pretty good shot!
Thanks, Ulla

Beautiful shot of this dragonfly, Chris.
Well-composed and sharp
It is a species new to me and unfortunately I can't ID it. Sungei must be a great place for birds.
TFS, regards, Ivan
